Job Title: Rigger
Responsibilities
- Inspect and set up rigging equipment (slings, shackles, chains, etc.) in compliance with safety standards.
- Secure loads and guide crane operators during lifting and placing of heavy materials.
- Interpret load charts, lifting plans, and safety guidelines.
- Ensure proper balance, weight distribution, and attachment of loads.
- Perform pre-lift inspections and ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Coordinate with other crew members and communicate clearly during lifting operations.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards on site.
- Report damaged or defective equipment immediately.
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe, clean, and working condition.
