Job Title: Cook
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the Chef.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations.
- Assist with inventory management and proper storage of food items.
- Follow food safety and health regulations strictly.
- Support the culinary team in catering for a variety of resort guests and special events.
- Demonstrate efficiency working in a busy kitchen while maintaining food quality.
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidates should possess an OND / HND / B.Sc Degree
- Proven experience (minimum of 15 years) as a Cook in hotels, resorts, or restaurants, preferably with exposure to African and international cuisines.
- Experienced in preparing different local foods (including Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Effik etc). Must have strong culinary skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of kitchen equipment and safety standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Good team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic.
