Job Title: Coded Welder (Piping / TIG Welder)
Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled Coded Welder (TIG / Piping) to join our dynamic team.
- In this role, you will play a critical part in overseeing welding operations, ensuring high standards of quality and safety, and contributing to the successful completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures to carry out precise pipe welding tasks.
- Prepare pipe sections, set up welding equipment, and align components in accordance with technical requirements.
- Perform high-quality welding using SMAW, GMAW, TIG, and Chromium (Chrome) welding techniques.
- Weld pipes in various positions, including 6G, to meet industry standards.
- Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and structural integrity in compliance with ASME, API 1104, BS 4872, and other relevant codes.
- Maintain tools and equipment in optimal working condition.
- Follow strict health, safety, and environmental protocols throughout all welding operations.
- Collaborate with pipefitters, engineers, and quality control teams to ensure project quality and timelines are met.
- Inspect completed welds using various methods to ensure they meet strict industry standards, durability, and quality requirements.
Job Requirements
- 5-9 years of experience as a coded pipe welder.
- Valid and current welding certifications.
- Proven expertise in welding plate and pipe in 6G position.
- Experience with multiple welding processes: SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), GMAW (MIG), TIG (GTAW), and Chrome welding.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments with strict safety standards.
- Good physical condition and willingness to work in confined spaces or at heights.
Desired Skills:
- Pipe Welding & Fitting
- SMAW, GMAW, TIG, Chrome Welding Techniques
- Construction & Commissioning Experience
- Welding Code Compliance (ASME, API, BS Standards)
- Blueprint and Welding Procedure Interpretation
