Job Title: Certified Safety Technician
Job Summary
- The Safety Technician is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for employees.
- This position involves working closely with employees, supervisors, and management to identify, evaluate, and eliminate safety hazards.
- The Safety Technician also creates and implements safety programs, provides safety training, and conducts safety inspections.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Inspect facilities, equipment, and operations to identify potential safety hazards
- Provide safety training to employees and management on a regular basis
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans
- Monitor safety performance in the workplace and provide feedback to employees and management
- Maintain safety records and documentation
- Develop safety incentive programs
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a safety role
- Knowledge of ISO standards and certification
- HSE professional certification required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
