Job Title: Certified Safety Technician

Job Summary

• The Safety Technician is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for employees.
• This position involves working closely with employees, supervisors, and management to identify, evaluate, and eliminate safety hazards.
• The Safety Technician also creates and implements safety programs, provides safety training, and conducts safety inspections.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Inspect facilities, equipment, and operations to identify potential safety hazards
• Provide safety training to employees and management on a regular basis
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans
• Monitor safety performance in the workplace and provide feedback to employees and management
• Maintain safety records and documentation
• Develop safety incentive programs

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a safety role
• Knowledge of ISO standards and certification
• HSE professional certification required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
