Job Title: Senior Transport Manager (STM), Inbound Operations

Job Summary

• The Senior Transport Manager, Inbound Operations, will oversee the transportation and logistics processes for inbound materials.
• This role involves direct management of logistics activities to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the supply chain operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of inbound transportation logistics, including planning, scheduling, and execution of inbound material movements.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and transport service providers to ensure the timely and quality delivery of materials.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards in all transportation activities.
• Conduct regular analysis of inbound transportation costs and optimize logistics operations for cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to align inbound logistics strategies with supply chain needs.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for inbound logistics to measure operational performance.
• Develop and maintain logistics management processes, policies, and procedures to support inbound operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain performance and reduce operational risks.
• Supervise and mentor logistics personnel to foster career development and enhance team performance.
• Prepare and present regular reports on inbound logistics performance to senior management.
• Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and implementing the Transportation Management System (TMS)

Requirements

• BSc. in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transport Management, or a related field. 
• Professional Certification CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport) is an advantage.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in logistics and transportation, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven expertise in inbound logistics operations and supply chain management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with logistics software and transportation management systems.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
