Job Description
Under the supervision of the Auditor General, the incumbent will ensure the efficient functioning of the human resource functions of the Office of The Auditor-General.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions;
- Coordinate and organise the recruiting, training and continuous development of staff;
- Carry out the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems in the Office;
- Ensuring that the welfare of the staff for the Office of the Auditor General is as per the required standards;
- Be the focal point for the staff regulations concerning the Office of the Auditor General ;
- Managing and ensuring safe custody of all documentation for the human resources section of the Office of the Auditor General;
- Monitor and assist in the staff appraisal and performance management process;
- Monitor staff annual leave days and attendance;
- Coordinating staff emoluments;
- Review working conditions to ensure legal compliance;
- Perform any other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Social Sciences or Humanities or in a similar field from a recognized University.
- 5 years of relevant experience in a private/public sector or international organizations;
- knowledge of human resources management operations including training, recruitment, performance management, change management, manpower planning, salary policy, pension administration, employee terms and conditions of employment, monitoring, analytics and reporting;
- excellent knowledge of Staff Regulations, directives and policies of relevance to the execution of duties associated with the position;
- cognitive knowledge of data base creation and management, and use of specialized computer systems and programs for operationalizing a variety of HR business processes and reports.
- Experience in the practice of Labor Law Management;
- Knowledge of HR Management best practices.

- proficiency in information communication technologies(ICT);
- Fluency in oral and written expressions in one of the ECOWAS official languages of the Community (English, French & Portuguese). Knowledge of an additional one will be an added advantage.

- ability to identify, collect and assess indicators to monitor performance and to take proactive remedial action as required.
