Dogan’s Sugar Limited is incorporated in July 2013 in Lagos, Nigeria as a European invested company for the will to produce quality sugar products in Nigeria. The company is a subsidiary of Ata Ltd. Co.; Ukraine’s biggest and market leader cube sugar manufacturing company with more than %70 market share. Currently, Ata is manufacturing more than 20 different FMCG products in Ukraine with different weights and packaging.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Operation Manager

Location: Amuwo Odofin, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing the intervention management process in a conscientious and precise manner, and report on progress towards pre-defined goals to management.
• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.
• Create a safe working environment for employees by putting in place safety measures to prevent accident and complications that may arise during work. Also provide safety gear to employees for protection in the event of accidents
• Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
• Arrange warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments
• Resolve any arising problem or complaints.
• Give vivid directions and guidelines to shipping agents about nature of goods and delivery locations, and maintain communication with them to ensure that goods are not damaged on transit.
• Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce- maintenance officers, technicians, drivers, motor boys etc.
• Ensure that workers adhere to industry standards in dealing with clients, to promote rule of law and avoid practices such as smuggling and overloading to avoid accidents which could lead to loss of lives and properties
• Inspect goods to be delivered to ensure that they are in the right quantity and quality. Supervise the loading of such goods into vehicles for delivery.
• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.
• Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements.
• Assist in preparation of budgets for the department and company as a whole.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports to the management.
• Assist in the drafting and submission of content for numerous manufacturing and production companies, third party vendors etc.
• Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

Education and Experience

• Significant experience in managing complex projects, preferably with a Degree in Logistics / Operations Management.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience.

• Possession of excellent time management skills to be able to deliver goods as at when due
• Excellent human relations skills to be able to work effectively with all members of the logistics team, getting them to perform optimally
• Strong knowledge of logistics management for efficient service delivery
• Good communication skills to understand the details of clients’ deliveries, and pass instructions to team members to carry out without erring
• Multitasking skills: He/she must be able to do several tasks together without getting confused
• Attention to detail: He/she must be mindful of even the little details of an assignment
• Organization skills: The logistics operations manager must be able to plan and organize his/she activities for efficient.
