We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Public Relations / Personal Assistant

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are seeking to hire a professional who will double as Public Relations and Personal Assistant and will be responsible for building and maintaining a positive image for our company.
  • You will be in charge of establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, community, employee and public interest groups by writing press releases and other media communications, responding to requests for information and press conferences, and coaching client representatives in the correct way of communicating with the public, clients, increase awareness of our services, perform a variety of administrative tasks and supporting our company’s CEO.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responding to requests for information release or press conference from the media or designating a spokesperson or source of information.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, community, employee, and public interest groups.
  • Writing press releases and other media communications to promote clients.
  • Planning or directing the development of programs to maintain favorable public and stockholder views of the organization’s agenda and accomplishments.
  • Coaching client representatives in effective communication with the public and employees.
  • Studying the organization’s objectives, promotional policies and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote ideas and services.
  • Preparing and editing organizational publications, including employee newsletters or stockholders’ reports, for internal and external audiences.
  • Updating and maintaining Web content.
  • Conferring with managers to identify trends and group interests and providing advice on business decisions.
  • Acting as the point of contact among executives, employees, clients and other external partners
  • Managing information flow in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Managing the CEOs’ calendars and set up meetings.

  • Make travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • Format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports
  • Take minutes during meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Master’s Degree in any Business or related discipline.
  • Degree in Journalism, Public Relation, Marketing or related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years experience in Public Relation and Personal Assistant.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Knowledge of Consulting and Learning Solutions marketing.
  • Ability to work on big strategy plans as well as day-to-day tasks.
  • Ability to think both creatively and strategically.
  • Ability to run Public Relation campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet objectives.
  • Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.
  • Understanding of social media.
  • Project and budget management skills.
  • Respond well under pressure with strict time limit.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Tech-savvy and experience with word processing and email programs.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong time-management and organization skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Discretion and confidentiality
