About African Union: The African Union (AU) is a continental body consisting of the 55 member states that make up the countries of the African Continent. It was officially launched in 2002 as a successor to the Organization of African Unity (OAU, 1963-1999). We are an Integrated, Prosperous and Peaceful Africa, driven by its own citizens and representing a dynamic force in the global arena.

Job Requirements

University Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Economics, Applied Statistics, Development Studies, Projects/Programme Management, or a related field with five (5) years of progressive work experience in specific area of economic development, including project design, implementation, monitoring and coordination. An international experience would be an added advantage.
Candidate with a Master’s degree are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of progressive work experience.
Conversant with Civil Society operations and procedures at national or international level

Required Skills:

Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work across business units / geographies; cultural sensitive environment
Proficiency in one of the AU working languages (English, French, Arabic, Portuguese or Spanish), fluency in another AU language is an added advantage
