Job Title: Country Director – Nigeria

Location: Abuja
Duration: 24 months fixed term contract under French legislation 

 About Action Against Hunger:  Action Against Hunger is the world’s hunger specialist and leader in a global movement that aims to end life-threatening hunger for good within our lifetimes. For 40 years, the humanitarian and development organization has been on the front lines, treating and preventing hunger across nearly 50 countries. It served more than 21 million people in 2018 alone.

Job Requirements

• You hold a Master’s Degree in Development Studies or in Mmanagement.
• You show at least 8 years of relevant humanitarian experience or you have a bachelor with more than 15 years of relevant humanitarian experience.
• You are experienced in complex emergencies in difficult security context.
• You show excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• You are known for your excellent negotiation skills, and political astuteness as well as your excellent adaptation and culturally sensitivity skills.
• You also have a significant experience with external representation and promotion of programs with stakeholders and potential donors, and are able to generate goodwill towards the program with the intention of raising funds and the country grant portfolio. 
• Fluent spoken and written English skills.
