Qualifications, experience, Deliverable skills and languages
Educational Qualifications:
Essential:
Advanced University degree (Master´s degree) in Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Public Health, Biology, or epidemiology.
Desirable:
PhD degree in any health related field.
Experience
Essential:
At least five years’ relevant experience combined at the national and international levels in data and/or information management, including experience in emerging and zoonotic disease.
Desirable:
Working experience in disease outbreak response, in a UN agency, an international nongovernmental organization or University.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to present information effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively on complex issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines on a results-oriented basis.
- Good planning skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
Languages required
Essential:
Expert knowledge of English.
Desirable:
Intermediate knowledge of other UN languages.
Location
Off site: Homebased. The consultant is expected to perform their duty during WHO Geneva, HQ working hours.
