Job Requirements

  • An Advanced University Degree in one or more of the disciplines relevant to the following areas: Education Planning and Management; Education Sector Planning or Education Economist relevant to international development assistance.

Experience:

  • Five years of progressively professional work experience at national and international levels in field programmes relevant to Education programmes with a focus on public education financing and learning assessment. Experience working in the UN or other international development organization is an asset (IP)
  • Experience in national-level development assistance is an asset.
  • Experience in working with high-level government functionaries and advocating for policy shifts; and leveraging UNICEF convening power in advocacy for more informed policies for children.
  • Experience with addressing inequities, and gender disparities is an asset.
  • Fluency in oral and written English

Skills:

  • Background in sector plan development and strategic planning skills.
  • Very solid track record in networking skills
  • Strong constructive, analytical and conceptual writing skills.
