Job Title: Factory Accountant

Location: Abeokuta, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

 About Nigachem Nigeria Limited:  Nigachem Nigeria Limited is a manufacturing company, incorporated in 1987 as a private company with Certificate of Incorporation No. 97718. The Company Memorandum and Articles of Association and subsequent licences permit the Company to engage in Importation, marketing and sales of Commercial or Civil Explosives and related products like Ammonium Nitrate, Detonating Cord, Electric Detonators, Non-Electric Detonators (Nonel), etc. We manufacture Emulsion type of Explosives and our brand is called Superpower. The emulsion type of Explosives is very safe, unlike other types because they only detonate upon introduction of a suitable initiation stimulus.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, and relevant degree.
  • Minimum of 6 years working experience.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 3 or more years of related experience.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards.
  • Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis.
  • Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data.
  • Experience with general ledger functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
  • Additional certification (ICAN) is a plus.

Skills:

  • Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (SAP).
  • Manufacturing industry background preferred.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
