Job Title: Store Attendant

Reports to: Retail Manager
Sector: Interior design & Procurement

Objective

  • To display and sell product items in the retail store to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the store is clean and in a pristine condition.
  • Ensure every customer leaves the store satisfied with their shopping experience.
  • Provide an easy, seamless shopping experience by keeping carts and baskets, aisle and shelfs well stocked and clean for guests.
  • Restocking depleted or low shop items and ensuring that the sales floor is organized according to established guidelines.
  • Interact with walk-in customers to know their needs, requirements and budgetary limits
  • Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
  • Receiving, processing, and organizing items and deliveries accordingly.
  • Assisting customers in locating desired shop items.
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
  • Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
  • Addressing and resolving customers complaints in a professional manner.
  • Processing customer payments using the shop’s Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of store items to provide advice and recommendations as needed.

Skills & Requirements

  • B.Sc / HND in relevant field of study.
  • Minimum of 2 years prior experience in a similar role.
  • Proven sales experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Emotionally Intelligent to address difficult customers.
  • The ability to use labeling and pricing equipment as well as Point of Sale (POS) software.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and fast learning.

Salary
N80,000 – N100,000 monthly
