NDDC Post-Graduate (Master’s Degree) Scholarships – To enhance Human Resource Development in the Niger Delta region, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is once again launching its Foreign Post Graduate Scholarship Program.

Eligibility Criteria
The program is open to qualified applicants who hold relevant Bachelor’s Degrees from recognized Universities in the following disciplines:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Marine Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Robotic Engineering
- Information Technology
- Artificial Intelligence
- Math/Sciences
- Medical Sciences
- Hospitality Management
- Law
- Architecture
- Environmental Science.
Method of Application
To apply, interested candidates should visit the NDDC website (www.nddc.gov.ng). The eligibility criteria require applicants to be from the Niger Delta Region and have achieved a First Class Degree, Second Class Upper, or Lower Division in their undergraduate studies.

Selection Process
The selection process consists of several stages:
- Initial Application: Candidates need to submit an online application through the Commission’s website.
- Preliminary Shortlisting: Shortlisting will be based on WASSCE/NECO results, undergraduate degree classification, and Local Government Identification.
- Computer-Based Test: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a computer-based test conducted in Rivers State.
- Minimum Test Score: Candidates must score a minimum of 70% to proceed to the next stage.
- Further Shortlisting: Successful candidates will be further shortlisted.
- Final Verification: The final verification will be conducted through the Local Government Area (LGA) and Community Development Committee (CDC).
Scholarship Value
The scholarship amount for studying abroad will be based on the prevailing exchange rate of the Naira. The deadline for submitting applications is 5 weeks from the date of this advertisement.
Mode of Application
All applications must be submitted online through the Commission’s website, and the required documents, such as a recent passport photograph, Local Government Identification Letter, Post Graduate admission letter from a recognized overseas university, relevant degrees from recognized universities, and NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate, must be attached.
It is important to print a hard copy of the online-generated acknowledgment for future reference. Shortlisted applicants will be announced on the NDDC website (www.nddc.gov.ng) and will be required to participate in a Computer-Based Test (CBT).
Please Note:
The Commission will not communicate with candidates who are not shortlisted for CBT or oral interviews, and preferences will be given to candidates from Oil Producing Host/Communities/Local Government Areas. Deferment, change of institution, and course are not allowed.
The Commission reserves the right to select candidates based on the mentioned criteria and its internal considerations. The decision of the Commission is final.
