Job Title: Chemistry Teacher (‘A’ Level)
Key Responsibilities
- Knowledge of designated subject and ability to develop and deliver engaging and motivating integrated curriculum (A-Level, IGCSE, WAEC and Checkpoint)
- To teach the relevant subject, stimulate as well as maintain students’ curiosity in the designated Subject.
- To develop students’ familiarity, competence and confidence in the Subject.
- To provide challenge for every student and encourage them to achieve their potential in the Subject
- To contribute and engage in extra-curricular activities within the Subject.
- To encourage all students to be actively engaged in their own learning and in reviewing their progress against targets, taking into consideration the differing ability of students and differentiating work accordingly.
- To keep up to date with curriculum change and reforms.
- To undertake other assigned tasks and roles which may arise either in the department or in the wider school environment.
- Any other duties relating to the job as required from time to time by the Head of School /Principal.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a minimum of B.Ed / B.Sc (Ed) in relevant subject areas.
- 5 years experience of teaching the British curriculum and delivering results.
- Good understanding and knowledge of both A-Level, IGCSE and Checkpoint Curriculum.
- Membership of professional associations
- Capable of teaching across Junior & Senior School level.
