Requirements for This Scholarship

  • This scholarship is available for either part-time or full-time PhD research in a broad range of subject areas.
  • Applicants must permanently reside in Reading or within 25 miles of the University and demonstrate a connection to the region.
  • Applicants must satisfy the normal entry requirements for PhD study at Reading (normally an upper second class 1st degree or a Master’s degree, depending on the subject area).
  • This scholarship is not open to students who have already started a PhD at the University of Reading.
  • The deadline to apply for this scholarship is 3rd May 2022.
