Job Title: Industrial Chemist (Cosmetics & Manufacturing)
Job Summary
- We are seeking a results-oriented Industrial Chemist with experience in cosmetics formulation and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in industrial chemistry and a solid background in product development, quality control, and production optimization. This role will be instrumental in supporting the company’s transition from research and development to full-scale product manufacturing, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the formulation of cosmetic products in compliance with local and international regulatory standards.
- Optimize production processes to ensure high efficiency and product consistency.
- Conduct research to improve formulations for enhanced performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Design and implement robust quality control systems to maintain product integrity.
- Ensure all formulations and manufacturing processes adhere to environmental and safety regulations.
- Monitor industry trends and adjust processes accordingly to maintain compliance.
- Provide technical consultancy and training to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally with R&D, procurement, and production teams to scale operations.
- Evaluate and recommend new materials, equipment, and technologies to improve outputs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial chemistry, cosmetics manufacturing, or product development.
- Previous experience in consulting or advisory role is an advantage.
- Knowledge of cosmetic ingredient regulations and safety data reporting is essential.
Core Skills and Competencies:
- Expertise in cosmetic product formulation and testing.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing process design and quality systems.
- Analytical problem-solver with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management and digital documentation tools.
