Job Title: Compensation & Benefits Officer
Job Summary
- The Compensation and Benefits Officer supports the design, administration, and analysis of the organization’s total rewards programs.
- This role plays a key part in ensuring competitive and compliant compensation and benefits structures, while providing analytical and operational support across the HR and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilties
- Assist in the design and implementation of compensation programs, including job evaluations, salary surveys, and pay structure frameworks.
- Administer employee compensation changes, ensuring adherence to internal policies and applicable labor regulations.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking analyses to ensure the organization’s compensation and benefits remain competitive within the industry.
- Prepare and analyze compensation-related reports and dashboards for HR and management decision making.
- Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding compensation and benefits policies, with professionalism and clarity.
- Support the annual compensation review cycle, including performance-based salary adjustments and bonus administration.
- Collaborate with HRIS and Finance teams to maintain accurate and efficient compensation and benefits data management systems.
- Assist in the development and facilitation of training sessions on compensation and benefits for HR teams and people managers.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including pensions, healthcare, and wellness initiatives, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with organizational goals.
- Maintain accurate, secure, and up-to-date records for compensation and benefits transactions and documentation.
- Assist in conducting periodic audits to validate data integrity, program effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
Professional Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Human Resource Certification (e.g., CIPM, PHR) is mandatory
- 4+ years of experience in compensation and Benefit or a related role
- Experience with compensation software or HRIS systems
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to compensation.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and compensation management tools
- Basic understanding of compensation principles and market benchmarking
- Good analytical skills, experience with quantitative data collection and analysis
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organization skill and the ability to manage multiple task effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while fostering positive relationship
- Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
