Job Title: Shift Engineer
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate critical equipment such as mills, boilers, turbines, diffusers, evaporators, and centrifuges during the shift.
- Supervise technicians, artisans, and operators to ensure safe and effective execution of tasks.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related faults to minimize production downtime.
- Ensure proper maintenance of rotating and static equipment, including pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, and piping systems.
- Coordinate with production, process, and quality assurance teams to maintain optimal performance targets.
- Maintain accurate shift logs, maintenance records, and incident reports.
- Conduct routine inspections of the plant and identify areas for preventive or corrective maintenance.
- Enforce compliance with occupational health and safety (HSE) and environmental standards.
- Participate in shift handovers and communicate technical issues clearly to incoming teams.
- Support continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives across plant operations.
