Job Summary

• We are seeking aMechanical Shift Engineer to oversee and maintain the smooth operation of mechanical systems within our mining facility.
• The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, experience in equipment maintenance, and the ability to work efficiently in a shift-based environment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of mining machinery and mechanical systems
• Ensure efficient operation of equipment to minimize production interruptions
• Inspect, diagnose, and repairmechanical failuresto maintain operational safety
• Work closely with theproduction and maintenance teamsto optimize performance
• Implement and adhere topreventive maintenance schedules
• Maintainaccurate recordsof repairs, servicing, and parts inventory
• Identify potential mechanical issues and propose solutions proactively
• Followhealth, safety, and environmental regulationsto ensure compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineeringor related field
• 6 – 15years of experiencein mechanical maintenance within themining or heavy industrial sector
• Strongtechnical expertiseinmechanical troubleshooting and maintenance
• Ability to workunder pressure in a shift-based system
• Knowledge ofhydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment
• Excellentproblem-solving skillsand a proactive mindset
• Understanding ofsafety regulationsin mining operations.
