Job Summary

• A private household seeks the services of a professional, well-rounded, and experienced steward to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and service in the residence.
• The ideal candidate must be discreet, presentable, highly organized, and have prior experience working in both domestic and corporate hospitality environments.
• This is a trusted role that requires reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Household Maintenance & Organization:

• Maintain and oversee the cleanliness and tidiness of formal and informal living areas, dining rooms, hallways, and guest spaces.
• Organize and maintain household inventory (linen, tableware, cleaning supplies, etc.).
• Manage pantry and storage areas, ensuring items are always well-stocked and properly arranged.
• Handle laundry and ironing for household members, with special attention to fabric types and care instructions.

Dining & Table Service:

• Set and serve at the table during meals (formal and informal), including silver service when required.
• Ensure that dining areas are impeccably set up and cleared efficiently post-meal.
• Prepare and serve beverages (tea, coffee, juices, cocktails, wine) as requested.

Guest Relations:

• Welcome and attend to guests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Provide discreet and efficient service during events, family gatherings, or official visits.
• Coordinate with other staff (nanny, chef, housekeeper, driver, etc.) to ensure smooth operations during guest visits.

General Support:

• Run errands as needed (e.g., grocery runs, dry cleaning, procurement of supplies).
• Assist with travel and packing/unpacking for principals.
• Ensure all service and utility areas are always in pristine condition.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a steward or butler in a private residence, hotel, yacht, or corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of hospitality standards, fine dining service, and household management.
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and prioritize effectively.
• High level of discretion, integrity, and trustworthiness.
• Neat, presentable appearance with excellent hygiene.
• Good command of English; ability to read and follow instructions.
• Ability to work long hours, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
• Experience with event setup or managing household staff is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Training or certification in hospitality or household management.
• Knowledge of etiquette, table setting styles, and household protocols.
• Knowledge of Housekeeping.

Salary
N200,000 monthly.
