Job Title: Corporate Legal Executive
Activities
- The Corporate Head Legal is responsible for overseeing the legal department, managing all legal affairs of the organization, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
- This role includes advising senior management on legal risks, drafting and negotiating contracts, and representing the company in legal proceedings.
- The Head of Legal will lead a team of legal professionals and work closely with other departments to support the company’s strategic goals.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to support the company’s objectives.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to senior management on various business matters.
- Oversee and manage all legal contracts, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Represent the company in litigation, negotiations, and other legal proceedings.
- Monitor changes in legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
- Train and mentor junior legal staff and other employees on legal compliance and policies
- Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Law Degree from an accredited institution.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Educational Experience:
- Law degree (JD or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Advanced legal qualifications or certifications (e.g., LLM, in-house counsel certification) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, preferably within a corporate or in-house legal environment.
- Extensive knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and compliance regulations.
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills for contracts and legal documents.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in legal research and case management software.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics.
