Job Title: Program Officer – Legal
Responsibilities
- Manage the implementation of projects primarily focused on legislative and civic engagement, elections, and social justice/reform.
- Implement capacity building programs and targeted workshops designed for project beneficiaries.
- Conduct research and analyses, develop high quality advocacy and awareness materials, produce program reports, and interface with external partners.
- Develop proposals, implement work plans, write reports, and advocacy/resource materials.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience with managing donor-funded democracy/governance projects in the non-profit sector.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Broad grasp and understanding of the policy and political environment in Nigeria, especially relating to elections and the legislature
- Experience with overseeing project monitoring and evaluation
- Excellent interpersonal, networking and relationship management skills
- Willingness to travel to various locations in the country, as needed, to implement project activities.
