Job Title: Pastry Chef
Job Description
- We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Pastry Chef to elevate our dessert offerings and bring imaginative ideas to life in the kitchen.
- This individual will play a key role in shaping the pastry menu, experimenting with flavor profiles, and ensuring the consistent quality of baked items and sweets served to customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide range of pastries, cakes, desserts, and baked goods from scratch.
- Innovate and design new dessert items that align with the restaurant’s brand and seasonal ingredients.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to create cohesive menu items.
- Maintain accurate inventory and ensure timely procurement of fresh ingredients.
- Implement best practices for food preparation, cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.
- Train junior staff or kitchen assistants on pastry techniques and procedures.
- Monitor the consistency, quality, and presentation of all pastry items.
- Stay up to date with trends in the pastry and dessert world and bring new ideas to the table.
Requirements
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Baking, or a related field is an advantage.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a pastry chef or head baker role.
- Exceptional knowledge of baking techniques, dessert presentation, and food safety standards.
- Creativity and passion for crafting unique and visually appealing desserts.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Leadership skills and ability to inspire and train team members.
