St Andrews Sanctuary Scholarship 2022-2023 are fully funded scholarships for students who has official Home Office status as one of the following:

• Asylum Seeker
• Refugee
• Humanitarian protection with forced migration background 
• Limited leave to remain with forced migration background 
• Discretionary leave to remain with forced migration background

This Scholarship program covers annually for the duration of the student’s programme, Up to £7,500 maintenance per year plus full tuition fees (where Government tuition funding is not available), Full tuition fees and Monthly maintenance payments.

  • To be eligible for the Sanctuary Scholarship, applicants must have one of the following official statuses in the UK:
  • Asylum Seeker
  • Refugee
  • Humanitarian protection with forced migration background 
  • Limited leave to remain with forced migration background 
  • Discretionary leave to remain with forced migration background Asylum seekers will be assessed as Home (Scotland) fee status.Financial Statement should be no longer than two pages, please include the following in your personal statement:
  • Academic merit and potential
  • Demonstrated interest in the field of study
  • Financial need
  • The impact of your forced migration status on your access to educationIf you are an asylum seeker and are unable to provide household evidence please upload evidence confirming your official Home Office Status.

How to Apply for St Andrews Sanctuary Scholarship 2022

• This scholarship is available to complete and submit through My Applications, Scholarships and Funding –  View my funding applications. 
• After you have applied to a new course, you will be provided with login details for the ‘My application’ portal. 
• Applicants living in Scotland are encouraged to apply to SAAS for any available tuition or bursary funding.
