Nigerian Airforce DSSC Recruitment 2021/2022 application process has commenced employment for both Lieutenant and second Lieutenant officers from Nigeria who wish to pick up the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) Form through the online registration portal at www.recruitment.army.mil.ng/.

Nigerian Army DSSC 2021 Recruitment Requirements

Applicants are advised to carefully read the specific disciplines required below before filling out the form.

Short Service Commission (SSC)

All applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Be a Nigerian as defined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended.
  • Be a male or female between the ages of 23 and 27 by January 2022.
  • Must be medically, mentally and physically fit according to Nigerian Army Standards.
  • Be recommended and attested to his/her good character by at least 2 recognizable referees who is either
    • A Local Government Chairman/Secretary or
    • An officer of the Armed Forces not below the rank of a Lieutenant Colonel and equivalent or
    • An Assistant Commissioner of Police and above who must hail from the applicant’s state of origin. 

NOTE: Passport photographs of referees must be affixed to the letter of attestation.

  • Must be willing to submit a Letter of Attestation from their former institutions.
  • Be Measure in height at least 1.68m (for male) and 1.65m (for female).
  • Must not have been convicted by any court of law.
  • Military personnel must not have any disciplinary case and must be confirmed so by the Commanding Officer/Commander.
  • Possess at least a first degree with not less than Second Class Lower Division or HND of not less than Lower Credit in the arts, sciences or humanities from accredited institution of learning. Courses of study must also be accredited at the time of study.
  • Have a valid birth certificate endorsed by the National Population Commission, Hospital or Local Government Council or valid age declaration.
  • Possess a valid certificate of state of origin.
  • Applicants (other than serving members of the Armed Forces) must possess NYSC discharge certificate or a valid certificate of exemption.
  • Applicants completing NYSC in 2020 are eligible to apply.
  • Only post secondary academic credentials obtained from Year 2016 to date will be considered.
  • Applicants must present valid contact addresses and telephone numbers of parent/guardians and Next of Kin.
  • Candidates must not be members of any cult/secret society/fraternity
  • Candidates must not have any body inscriptions or tattoos.
  • Candidates must tender all original copies of educational certificates (primary to post-secondary).

NOTE:

A. Service personnel must present valid military identity cards and letters of recommendations by their Commanding Officers/Commanders. They must also present valid letter(s) of official sponsorship in tertiary academic institutions. Additionally, they must have served for a minimum period of 5 years in the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

B. All service personnel applicants are under obligation to declare their service status on application as required by Harmonised Terms and Conditions of Service for the Armed Forces of Nigeria. Failing to do so constitutes an offence in addition to disqualification at any stage.

Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC)

All applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  1. Be Nigerian as defined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
  2. Be a male or female between the ages of 20 and 30 years, while medical consultants be no more than 40 years of age by January 2022.
  3. Must be medically, mentally and physically fit according to NA standards.
  4. Be recommended and attested to his/her good character by at least 2 recognizable referees who are either a Local Government Chairman/Secretary or an officer of the Armed Forces not below the rank of Lieutenant Colonel or equivalent or an Assistant Commissioner of Police and above who must hail from the applicant’s state of origin. Passport photographs of referees must be affixed to the letter of attestation.
  5. Applicants must submit a letter of attestation from their former institutions.
  6. Measure in height at least 1.68m (for males) and 1.65m (for females).
  7. Must not have been convicted by any court of law. Military personnel applying must be free from any disciplinary case and endorsed by the applicant’s Commanding Officer/Commander.
  8. Possess at least a first degree with no less than Second Class Lower Division or HND of no less than Lower Credit from any accredited institution of learning.
  9. Possess a valid birth certificate endorsed by the National Population Commission, Hospital or Local Government Council or a valid age declaration.
  10. Possess a valid certificate of state of origin.
  11. Applicants must possess an NYSC discharge certificate or a valid exemption as appropriate.
  12. Graduates with professional qualifications must be duly registered by relevant regulatory bodies recognized by Nigerian Laws at the commencement of cadet training.
  13. Only post secondary academic credentials obtained from 2011 to date will be considered.
  14. Applicants must present valid contact addresses and telephone numbers to parents/guardians and Next of Kin.
  15. Candidates must not have any body inscriptions or tattoos.
  16. p. Candidates must tender all original copies of educational certificates (primary to post secondary).
  17. q. Service personnel must present valid military identity cards and letters of recommendation by their Commanding Officers/Commanders. They must also present a valid letter(s) of NA sponsorship to tertiary academic institutions. Additionally, they must have served for a period of not less than 5 years in the unit.
  18. Candidates must not belong to any cult/society/fraternity.
  19. All female applicants are advised to seek commission into specialist corps like Medical, Legal Service, Supply and Transport or Army Public Relations.
