Job Title: Consular Investigative Assistant – All Interested Candidates (Fraud Prevention)

 About U.S. Mission: The U.S. Mission to Nigeria comprises of the Embassy in Abuja, FCT, and the Consulate General in Lagos. U.S. Consulate General Lagos is the Mission’s representative to the Nigerian people in the southern region.

Job Requirements

• A University Degree in Law, Psychology, Forensics, Economics or Criminology is required.  
• NYSC Certificate Or Exemption Or Exclusion is required.

Experience:

• Minimum of four (4) years experience as an investigator or researcher for the Police, Court, Law Firm, Insurance company, Government or private agency is required.

Job Knowledge:  

• Thorough knowledge of the Nigerian legal system and official documents is required. Knowledge of Nigerian culture, customs and family relationships is required.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to gain the confidence of those with access to information about fraudulent documents and criminal activities.

Evaluations:

• This may be tested. Please specify your level of proficiency in the language listed.

Language:

• Fluent in speaking/reading/writing of English is required.
