We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Facility Manager
Location: Asokoro, Abuja (FCT)
Report To: Managing Director
Industry: Agro Allied
Department: Operations
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will (but not limited to):
- Develop and carry out periodic facility inspections to develop Plant and Machinery maintenance activities -preventive and corrective facilities maintenance schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment functioning status and other systems in building.
- Ensure compliance to all maintenance schedules.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance and repairs services to ensure proper care of Plant and Machineries, Air Conditioners, Furniture, Plumbing and Lighting Systems.
- Coordinate housekeeping and grounds keeping activities to ensure the environment is properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Prepare maintenance report for the various facilities and office locations; Prepare weekly report on facilities maintenance.
- Carry out facility audits on Equipment and report on observations and defeats on Equipment.
- Plan best allocation/utilization of space for both current and future office.
- Initiate interventions to solve problems in facilities.
- Define scope of work, prepare cost estimates for building maintenance works, refurbishment, and renovations. sponsible for the allocation and management of facility space for optimum efficiency.
- Plan and manage all central services – reception, security, cleaning, waste disposal, water treatment, energy consumption and parking to ensure customers’ satisfaction.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent facilities maintenance issues as they arise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- 4 – 5 years post-NYSC experience in facilities management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Email, Internet etc.
- Proficient in Google Office Suite Drive – Google Sheets, Google Docs, Gmail, etc.
Required Competencies:
- Exceptional leadership, project management, decision-making, cost management and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy and precision
- Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn the equipment and facilities to be maintained.
- Ability to maintain basic records and warranties.
- Ability to understand written directions in manuals and on manufacturer websites.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to make quick and smart decisions under pressure.
