Job Title: Lounge Manager

Job Description

  • We require the services of a committed and proactive lounge manager who would enjoy working in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
  • The lounge manager will promote and grow the business and ensure that guests get excellent drinks, food, and service at all times.
  • You will also manage inventory and resources, plan events, ensure that quality and safety controls are followed, create schedules, and set business objectives to increase profits and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • You should also be able to work with diverse personalities and diffuse tense situations.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities shall include but not limited to the following:

  • Managing the business aspects of the lounge such as taking inventory, managing budgets, and setting goals.
  • Training staff to provide excellent service to guests.
  • Creating effective schedules and quickly resolving conflicts to ensure that the lounge is well staffed during peak hours.
  • Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls.
  • Working with diverse personalities both on the staff and patrons.
  • Planning and taking part in events.
  • Diffusing tense situations between guests or staff members to prevent possible safety or legal issues, ejecting unruly persons, if needed.
  • Maintaining a fun, safe atmosphere for guests.

Requirements
The successful candidate is expected to have the following skills:

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree qualification with at least 4 years work experience.
  • Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles.
  • Excellent computer, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal to irate guests.
  • Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Effectively delegate responsibilities and maximize resources.
  • Decisiveness.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally carry heavy items in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
