Job Title: Senior Manager, Pharmaceutical Care and Logistic Services

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organization’s Pharmaceutical care & logistic POC.
  • Assist in managing the pharmaceutical care aspects of the HIV care and treatment program.
  • Work with pharmaceutical officer to analysis, report and provide direction on patient per regime.
  • Support pharmaceutical care for differentiated care model, patient monitoring-ADR, Treatment failure management and regime sequencing.
  • Design and coordinate the implementation of pharmacy best practices across all the organization supported sites.
  • Ensure the development, dissemination and application of appropriate pharmaceutical services SOPs and training curriculum across supported sites.
  • Assist the stores department in implementing SOPs for the warehouse in line with Good Pharmaceutical Storage Practices.
  • Monitor the efficient ordering and Last Mile Distribution (LMD) of commodities from the National Central Procurement & Distribution system and provide feedbacks as necessary.
  • Assist in planning, monitoring and tracking the timely and correct quantification, purchase requests, storage and distribution of pharmaceuticals and other commodities.
  • Tracking, monitoring and inventory analysis of all pharmacy stock employing the use of monitoring tools, spread sheets and data bases.
  • Assist in periodic training of pharmacy, medical, nursing and counseling staff at sites supported by the HIV care and treatment program.
  • Monitor and review pharmaceutical care performance and identify associated potential problems and activities across sites and proffer immediate and long-term solutions.
  • Pharmaceutical care for differentiated care model, patient monitoring-ADR, Treatment failure management and regime sequencing

Qualifications and Experience

  • First Degree in Pharmacy, a post graduate Degree in Logistic Management or Master’s Degree in Public Health will be ab added advantage. In addition, the post holder must possess at least 10 years’ post NYSC experience in running/implementing public health programs preferably in the NGO context. With at least 5 of those years in management level.
  • At least 3 years working knowledge of the PEPFAR/CDC logistic and supply chain model.
  • An in depth understanding of national and international development issues in particular in relation to ADR and drug toxicity monitoring in the Nigerian context.
  • Previous experience in managing and developing a team and the ability to lead, motivate and develop others; excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; fluency in written and spoken English;
  • Commitment to and understanding of the organization ’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, as evidenced through previous work experience and results achieved; capable of effective and efficient development, management and tracking of large-scale projects.
  • Superior partnering skills, exceptionally strong and highly effective working relationships with internal & external partners/stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership skills; can manage larger-scale teams, develop individual skills and abilities, while driving teams to meet or exceed targets & goals.
  • Willingness to commit the next 3 years to the origination in this position will be an added advantage.
  • History of loyalty and trust with proven integrity and ability to manage confidential information.
